Research Status of Treatment Methods for Root Caries in the Elderly.

Abstract

Abstract: Root carie is a common oral disease in the elderly and its incidence has been increased year by year. Because the gum of the elderly has receded, the root face is exposed and the volume of saliva secretion is reduced, which make the elderly more susceptible to root caries. With the acceleration of population aging in our country, the oral problems of the elderly should be taken seriously by the society. This review summarizes the main methods and advances in the prevention and treatment of root caries.
