Study on Relationship between Enamel Defects of Primary Teeth and Early Caries in Children

Abstract: Developing defect of enamel is a common disease in clinical practice. It is the abnormal quality and quantity of enamel caused by the damage of enamel organ. The disease occurs in both primary teeth and permanent teeth. In recent years, more and more children's dentists have paid attention to this disease, which occurs during tooth eruption and can lead to early caries if left untreated. In this paper, we review the literatures on the relationship between enamel developing defect of primary teeth and early caries in recent 15 years, and summarize the diagnosis, cause, treatment, and prevention measures.
