Abstract: Inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) mobilization was invented for dental implantation in cases of extreme mandibular vertical deficiency, often carrying significant risks of neurosensory dysfunction. This report describes a patient who got the modified procedure. Both immediate and long-term postoperative assessments confirmed complete preservation of neurosensory function

Key words: inferior alveolar nerve lateralization, alveolar ridge atrophy, dental implantation
