Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effects of Er:YAG laser irradiation on micro-shear bond strength of an all-in--one bonding system for cervical dentin over a period of 1 year. Methods: Sixty cervical dentin slices obtained from extracted human third molars were prepared. After surface treatments by Er:YAG laser irradiation or 600-grit silicon paper polishing, the micro-shear bond strength of Tri-S Bond to cervical dentin were tested after 24 hours (24H), 7 days (7D), 6 months (6M) and 1 year (1Y). The results were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA and t-test. Results: It was showed that bond strengths of lased dentin after 6M and 1Y were significantly lower than those of other groups. Conclusion: Er:YAG laser irradiation influenced the bond strength of Tri-S Bond to cervical dentin after 6 months and 1 year.
