Abstract: Objective: To study the effects of minimally invasive flapless technique on efficacy, degree of pain, and aesthetics of oral implant surgery. Methods: Ninety cases undergoing oral implant surgery were selected in our hospital and divided into the group A (received single tooth with conventional flap implantation) and group B (underwent minimally invasive flapless implantation), with 45 cases in each. The efficacy, degree of pain, operation time, and aesthetics were analyzed and compared between two groups. Results: The operation time and duration time of postoperative pain (13.95±0.26min and 0.63±3.65d) in group B were lower than those of group A (28.05±0.53)min and (3.74±0.42)d (P<0.05). The amount of alveolar bone resorption and height of gingiva papilla showed no significant difference between two groups. The scores of aesthetics in group B (7.46±1.25points) was higher than that of group A (13.05±1.74points) (P<0.01). Conclusion: Compared with conventional flap implantation, the minimally invasive flapless technique can shorten the operation time and reduce the degree of pain, which improves the aesthetics and achieves better clinical effects.
