Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of single-tooth immediate implantation by pedicle palate connective tissue grafts in the maxillary anterior region. Methods: From June 2014 to May 2016,15 patients with thin gingival type in the maxillary anterior region were treated by single-tooth immediate implantation without flap. Pedicle palate connective tissue grafts were applied for soft tissue augmentation around implant. The survival of connective tissue grafts and the prospect of reconstruction of soft tissue around implants after operation were observed. Results: Pedicle palate connective tissue grafts healed very well and the clinical survival rates were100%. After the completion of repair on the very day,6 months, and 12 months, pink esthetic score (PES) in each period was (11.69±0.84),(11.94±0.70),and (11.97±0.68), respectively. The reconstruction of soft tissue around implants attained the aesthetic effect. Conclusion: For the patients with thin gingival type,single-tooth immediate implantation without flap by pedicle palate connective tissue grafts in the maxillary anterior region can achieve better aesthetic effects.
