Abstract: Objective: To investigate the feasibility of treating high-angle and open-bite cases by micro-implant anchorages. Methods: 9 patients with high-angle and open-bite were included. Micro-implants were placed on the posterior alveolar bone of the upper and lower jaw in the four quadrants, and then molars were intruded lightly and continuously. The lateral cephalometric X-ray films were analyzed before and after treatment. Results: After treatment, normal overbite and overjet were obtained for all patients. Upper and lower molars were intruded effectively with the mandibular counterclockwise rotated. SNB, ANB, MP-FH, MP-SN, ANS-Me/N-Me, U6-PP, L6-MP and OB values were significantly changed after treatment. Conclusion: Intruding molars by micro-implant anchorages can treat high-angle and open-bite cases effectively.
