Research Progress on Treatment of White Spot Lesions During Fixed Orthodontic Treatment

Abstract: White spot lesion is a common complication after orthodontic treatment. These lesions tend to appear rough and chalky on the smooth surfaces, and hence affect the aesthetic and function of teeth. Various interventions have been employed in managing white spot lesion after orthodontic treatment. The purpose of this article is to review the latest research and therapeutic effects of these treatments, and to provide new ideas and new basis for clinical practice and fundamental research.
