Abstract: Objective: To assist the periodontal-restorative combined treatment of upper anterior teeth through digital smile design (DSD). Methods: Twelve patients (74 teeth) underwent esthetic crown lengthening surgery in the upper anterior tooth area with the aid of DSD after perfecting their teeth and periodontal treatment for one month. All-ceramic crown restoration was performed six months after the operation. Results: Postoperative PD and BOP values were statistically different (* P<0.01). Compared with preoperatively, except for 1 month after operation, the PI values at all nodes in the follow-up were significantly improved (# P<0.01). Six months and 1 year after the repair, the neck margins of all restorations were suitable, and there was no obvious gingival hyperplasia or recession. Most patients were satisfied with the final coordination of the gingival margin, the smiling effect, the diagnosis, and treatment process. Conclusion: DSD-assisted periodontal-restorative combined therapy not only maintains the health of patients, but also achieves better aesthetic effects, obtains high satisfaction, and has high clinical application value.
