Abstract: Objective: To explore the influence of total glucosides of paeony (TGP) on the expression of IFN-γand IL-10 in peripheral blood of patients with oral lichen planus (OLP). Methods: 38 patients with OLP were randomly divided into control group and research group. There were 18 patients in the control group, who were extracted the residual roots and residual crowns, and used 0.1% tacrolimus ointment for topical treatment. There were 20 patients in the research group, who were administrated with TGP capsules besides the treatment of control group. The clinical curative effect was compared. The expression of IFN-γand IL -10 in the peripheral blood between two groups of patients was also compared before and after treatment. Results: Compared with control group (44.4%), the total effective rate of research group (75%) was significantly increased. After treatment, the expressions of IFN-γ and IL-10 in the research group were significantly increased. Conclusion: TGP treatment of OLP has good clinical curative effect, which may associate with the increased IFN-γ and IL-10 in the peripheral blood of patients.
