Abstract: Objective:To provide dentist with principles for implant selection based on finite element analysis (FEA). Methods:The jaw bone was reconstructed by using an oral virtual dental implant system. Implants were chosen based on this model. They were implanted virtually simulating the implants’ position and orientation in different edentulous conditions. The stress distribution of different implants in chewing process was analyzed by FEA, and mechanical properties were evaluated. Results:The dental implants with optimal length and diameter were chosen with FEA analysis. Conclusion:FEA analysis can provide help for physicians to select personalized dental implants.
