One Case of Socket Shield Technique for Immediate Implantation in Aesthetic Zone

Abstract

Abstract: The blood supply of the labial bone in the anterior teeth mainly relies on periodontal ligament and gingiva. Once the tooth in this area is lost,the labial bone plate will collapse due to the absence of blood from the periodontal ligament. To solve this problem, scholars have proposed various solutions. The "socket shield technique" is one of the solutions. In this study, we applied this technique to treat a patient whose right central incisor was broken and received good aesthetic result.
