Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the effect of ultra-thin veneers on the anterior teeth deformity. Methods: Sixty-seven anterior teeth deformity in 41 patients were selected for this study. No preparation or 0.2-0.3mm preparation was used in the clinical. Ultra-thin veneers were weared. Each restoration was evaluated use USPHS by 2 prosthodontists. The success rates of all restoration were analyzed at 0.5, 1, 2, 3, and 4 years after the treatment. Results: There were 0(0), 1(1), 3(6), 7(12), 11(18) patients (ultra-thin veneers) loss of follow up at 0.5, 1, 2, 3, and 4 years after the veneers finished. The success rates were 100%, 100%, 98%, 96%, and 91% at 0.5, 1, 2, 3, and 4 years follow up, respectively. The marginal fit, colors, esthetic effect, translucency, and integrity of veneers, teeth sensibility, gingival index, and patients' degree of satisfaction were all excellent. There was no case of dentin hypersensitivity and one case of secondary caries after 4 year follow-up. Conclusion: The ultra-thin veneers have a perfect esthetic effect and a satisfactory success rate in the esthetic treatment of anterior teeth deformity under the critical indications.
