Abstract: Objective: To explores the clinical application value of digital technology combined with 3D printed surgical guides in complex mandibular fractures. Methods: The data of 20 patients with complex mandibular fractures admitted to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2023 to June 2024 were collected. For all patients, three-dimensional visualization models were established using digital software before the operation. Virtual surgical reduction was performed using Mimics/3-matic software, and 3D surgical guides were designed and printed. During the operation, guide plates were used to assist in the precise reduction of mandibular fractures and the fixation of titanium plates. After the operation, digital software was used for color deviation analysis and clinical effect evaluation. Results: Postoperative color deviation analysis showed that the average deviation was (0.92±0.28) mm and the maximum deviation of the bone segment was (1.98±0.35) mm. The patient's mandibular fracture reduction and reconstruction position had a high consistency with the virtual surgical design. Clinical effect evaluation showed that the excellent and good rate reached 100% (excellent 90.0%, good 10.0%), and the patient's functions and facial morphology were satisfactorily restored without obvious complications. Conclusion: Digital technology and 3D guides can optimize the surgical path, improve the accuracy of fracture reduction, and reduce the chance of postoperative complications in the diagnosis and treatment of complex mandibular fractures.
