抗氧化剂在牙周炎治疗中的应用研究

摘要: 牙周炎作为口腔中最常见的疾病之一。研究表明,体内活性氧(Reactive oxygen species ,ROS)过量而导致的氧化应激,与牙周炎的发生发展有密切关系。抗氧化剂能有效抑制活性氧,降低氧化应激的产生,因此对牙周炎具有一定的治疗作用。本文在概述有关活性氧与氧化应激的产生及牙周炎病理机制的基础上,综述了抗氧化剂用于牙周炎治疗的最新研究进展。

Abstract: Periodontitis is one of the most popular diseases in oral cavity. Many researches have indicated that excess reactive oxygen species that resulted in oxidative stress might have a close relationship with periodontitis. Antioxidants can decrease the level of oxidative stress by effectively suppressing reactive oxygen species generation, thereby suggesting their potential usefulness for the treatment of periodontitis. In order to provide a reference for further investigation, the production of reactive oxygen species and oxidative stress, the pathological mechanism of periodontitis, and the application of antioxidants in periodontitis were reviewed in this article.
