Abstract: Regenerative endodontic treatment may be considered as the first choice for the treatment of immature permanent necrotic teeth. The principle is to achieve tissue repair and pulp regeneration via cell homing with the advantage of continued root maturation, apical closure, and thickening of canal walls. Currently, the application of regenerative endodontic treatment in clinical practice has achieved preliminarily and showed excellent curative effect. However, there are lack of unified prognosis evaluation and analysis of factors affecting its success. The purpose of this article is to review the prognosis evaluation criteria and factors affecting the success of regenerative endodontic treatment.
