Abstract: Lipoblastoma is mainly composed of immature adipocytes and is more common in children under 3 years old. It often occurs in the limbs, trunk, and retroperitoneum, and is less common in the head and neck. The tumor is invasive and can invade key surrounding anatomical structures. Complete surgical resection is the preferred method for curative treatment. Currently, some scholars have suggested that subtotal resection is also effective, but its recurrence rate is difficult to predict and further follow-up observation is needed. This article reports a case of 11-year-old male child with infratemporal fossa lipoblastoma. After complete tumor resection, it was confirmed by pathology to be an lipoblastoma. The age and location of onset are relatively rare, providing some experience for further deepening clinical understanding of lipoblastoma.
