Abstract: Objective: To detect the expression and distribution of CCL28 in human labial glands of Sjogren disease. Methods: All labial gland samples came from 35 patients who were diagnosed as Sjogren disease. CCL28 mRNA was detected by semiquantitative RT-PCR and CCL28 protein was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results: CCL28 mRNA was expressed in the labial glands of Sjogren disease, which was lower than that in the control. Positive staining of CCL28 was identified in the glandular epithelial cells, duct epithelial cells and mucus. Conclusion: CCL28 expressed and distributed in the labial glands of Sjogren disease. This would help doctors prevent tooth decay and oral infections in these patients.
