Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of minocycline hydrochloride ointment on subgingival porphyromonas gingivalis of peri-microscrew implantitis. Methods: Fifteen patients (20 microscrews) with peri-microscrew implantitis from Jan 2013 to Jan 2015 were set as experimetal group and 14 patients (20 microscrews) without peri-microscrew implantitis were set as control group. Plaque index (PLI), probing pocket index (PD) and sulcus bleeding index (SBI) of all patitents were recorded. Real-time PCR was used to detect the Porphyromonas gingivalis. Results: The values of PLI, PD and SBI in experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment for 1 and 3 weeks, the values of PLI, PD and SBI in experimental group were significantly decreased (P<0.05). Before and after treatment for 6 weeks, the Pg relevance ratio in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05). After treatment for 1 and 3 weeks, the relevance ratio in experimental group significantly decreased. There was significant positive Pearson correlation between the detection rate of Pg and the PLI, PD and SBI (P<0.05). Conclusion: Minocycline hydrochloride ointment treatment could improve clinical symptom and had inhibitory effect on subgingival porphyromonas gingivalis of peri-microscrew implantitis
