Application of Facial Scanner in Stomatology

Abstract: The facial scanner is a non-contact, non-invasive instrument which can measure and reconstruct facial soft tissues. It is widely used in many fields such as anthropometrics, criminal investigation, disease diagnosis, anthropological research, and stomatology. This article reviews the types of facial scanners, their working principles, and their applications in dentistry, as well as prospects for their future development.
