Abstract: Phosphodiesterases (PDEs) can hydrolyze the second messenger cyclic adenosine monophosphate and cyclic guanosine monophosphate in cells to regulate relevant physiological activities of the body and participate in inflammation, bone absorption, and other processes. PDEs inhibitor is a drug that mainly inhibits the activity of phosphodiesterase. This article intends to review the related research and development of PDEs inhibitors in the auxiliary treatment of oral inflammatory diseases, wound healing after tooth extraction, skin flap transplantation, jaw fracture healing, and tooth movement, so as to provide reference for the related treatment in stomatology.

Key words: phosphodiesterase inhibitor, inflammation, bone remodeling
