Abstract: Bacterial extracellular vesicles (BEVs) are pivotal in oral disease pathogenesis. Research demonstrates their critical role in microbiota-host interactions, directly driving the development of periodontitis, dental caries, and oral cancer. These insights refine pathogenic models and inform novel targeted interventions. This review systematically summarizes BEV-mediated interaction mechanisms, analyzes their molecular roles in specific oral diseases, and explores translational applications in prevention and targeted therapy.
