Abstract: Objective:To provide the basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment by observing the morphology of lower lip soft tissue at different conditions of overjet and overbite. Methods: The experiment was divided into four groups: control group, overjet and overbite (n=25); experimental group, deep overjet normal overbite (n=25), normal overjet deep overbite (n=25), and deep overjet deep overbite (n=25). Five measurements and analyses of lower lip soft tissue were performed with Invivo5.4 software. Results: Compared with control group, significant difference was found among the three experimental groups except Stmi-Me' of deep overjet normal overbite group. Among multiple comparisons between three experimental groups, there were significant differences between deep overjet normal overbite group and normal overjet deep overbite group on Li-L1, B'Li-FH, and LiB' Pg'; between deep overjet normal overbite group and deep overjet deep overbite group on Li-L1, B'Li-FH, Stmi-Me', and LiB' Pg'. Conclusion: Both overjet and overbite have an influence on morphology of lower lip soft tissue, and overbite influences more.
