Abstract: As a kind of composite material, Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) copolymer has biocompatibility, low toxicity, and the ability to encapsulate and protect biological factors. Based on the physical and chemical properties of PLGA, the synthesis of PLGA microspheres and its application in bone tissue engineering are reviewed in this paper, with hope to provide reference for the application of PLGA in bone tissue engineering.
