Abstract: Nanosilicates inorganic material synthesized by artificial methods has a nano-scale 2D structure. Its excellent physical and chemical properties as well as rich electrochemical characteristics have been widely used in the field of daily chemical, food, and sanitary materials. The good biocompatibility, certain antibacterial properties, and promotion of stem cell proliferation and differentiation have made it a potential to be applied in the field of biomedicine. This article mainly reviews the research progress of synthetic nanosilicates in biomedicine, the delivery of drug molecules, proteins, and growth factors, protection of skin and mucous membrane as a barrier, and as synthesize scaffold materials to regulate stem cell proliferation and differentiation in tissue engineering. Finally, the paper looks forward to the application of nanosilicates in the stomatology.
