Abstract: Gingival papillary defect can produce black triangle, which leads to a series of problems such as aesthetic defects, pronunciation disorders, and food impaction, and even affects periodontal health. Therefore, gingival papillary reconstruction is important for oral aesthetics and function. However, tissue reconstruction of gingival papilla is one of the most difficult treatments in the aesthetic area due to the low blood supply and narrow location. By reviewing the literature, based on the theoretical basis of gingival papillary reconstruction, this paper mentions the current surgical methods and non-surgical treatment methods, and comprehensively summarizes emerging strategies based on laser, growth factor, cell, and scaffold, in order to provide certain references for the clinical treatment of gingival papillary reconstruction.
