Abstract: Objective: To compare 2 minimally invasive treatment procedures for maxillary sinus lifting and simultaneously placement of implants. Methods: Seventy cases (81 implants) underwent sinus floor bone graft and simultaneously placement surgery. The mean time of follow up was 36.78±13.74 months. Results: There were 2 implants loose or lost, no clinical complaint of the maxillary sinus area, and X-ray examination of 79 implants showed well osseointegration in 6 to 72 (36.78 ± 13.74) months postoperatively. Conclusion: When residual alveolar bone height was 6-8mm, no significant difference in bone loss was recorded between two minimally invasive applications. While residual alveolar bone height was 2-5mm, a simplified surgical procedure for accessing the maxillary sinus via crestal approach by DASK tools could be adopted. It made the patients less pain and higher satisfaction.
